Tairua is often driven through on the way here or there. But if you can, I’d urge you to stop and spend some time in this pretty town. Mount Paku rises behind the town and with a smattering of houses that look over the beach and out to the ocean. This brightly coloured piece captures Mt Paku from the Ocean beach and is unmistakably Tairua and comes complete with a lovely natural float frame.
