Ashore

As I was about to head around the base track of the Mount, I came across this little dinghy on Pilot Bay. I often wonder about the people who live out there on their boats, the adventures they have, the sense of peace and isolation - slightly apart from the noisy, busy world. This painting aims to conjure up that wonder at a different way of life, and the act of dipping in and out of the hustle of the world as you come ashore.

16 x 20 x 1.5 inch (40.6 x 50.8 x 3.8cm) acrylic on canvas in a white float frame.

Finished with a lick of satin varnish to protect it for years to come. Sides are painted and it comes complete with d-rings and picture string ready to hang straight on your walls.
